You work interesting hours if the dates and times displayed in the screenshots are correct.

Originally posted by Carey DHi, for those of you who have requested more user documentation on the GLD we have posted a GLD Touch Screen Reference Guide on the allen-heath.com web site. This is an expanded offline version of the onboard Help File and includes pictures of the screens and detail on the related functions.
Due to problems with the upload process the name of the document does not appear and is blank. Click on the pdf icon 4th in the GLD-80 Downloads list and choose ‘Open’ to see it. It is unlikely this will be resolved until we get back in the New Year, but at least you can get to it.
We are busy working on additional instructional videos and updates to the owner manual to include more information on both the basic and advanced functions and system applications and will let you know as soon as these are available.
In the meantime feel free to ask questions here if needed or let me know topics you would like further information on.
I hope that helps,

Challenges of the manual of Allen Heath GLD 80. It is the manual of a device which guides the user to make him aware of the functionalities and usage of a device. The Allen Heath GLD 80 manual has been written with the aim of solving each and every problem of the users as far as their understanding is concerned. The user manual must be skilled. The Fader Banks The GLD-80 mixer has 2 independent Fader Banks, one with 12 fader strips, the other with 8 fader strips. The GLD-112 has 3 Fader banks with 12, 8 and 8 faders. Each Bank has 4 Layers. This means that the GLD-80 can work with up to 80 fader control strips and the GLD-112 with up to 112 strips. The GLD presents itself easily and the user manual is built-in for a super low learning curve. For a room with 300 seats, it is a fantastic fit. On the other hand, the Pro1 will sound and act like a console costing 3 times as much. We recently bought a GLD-80, but our shortlist came down to the GLD and a Pro2C. In the end we bought the GLD. Manuals and free instruction guides. Find the user manual.

Hi Ben,
I’m very pleased that A&H released a new firmware. I would like to have more information about upgrades and fixes before installing. the release notes are very thin and I dont see a new instruction manual posted. Where can we get more info ?
Side-chain compression/expansion? Please say its in there…
John. There is no love for SCC just like with HPF on outputs. I doubt we will ever see either. These guys don’t work in the real world of using these.
Sad as I believe this will be the last feature update for the GLD. Can anyone at A&H confirm this? I really was holding out hope.
John
Hello swarm intelligence,
Do you have any experience with the new firmware so far?
Improvements? Glitches?
I have a large show coming up and am reluctant to upgrade before that. The GLD upgrade is reversible, but once I upgraded the iPad software, there‘s no way back.As we‘re at it: is there a way to copy and paste EQ settings via remote software? When I dialed in a monitor EQ via iPad on stage, I have to walk up to the console to copy it to my other mon mixes. Am I missing something there?
Thanks a lot for your inputs…As we‘re at it: is there a way to copy and paste EQ settings via remote software? When I dialed in a monitor EQ via iPad on stage, I have to walk up to the console to copy it to my other mon mixes. Am I missing something there?
Not on the iPad app. But you can do it on GLD Editor if you use a Windows tablet instead.
Thanks ,Art!
No Windows tablet here, but your tip leads me to another idea:
Run GLD editor on my mac and remote that with Splashtop on my iPad….Run GLD editor on my mac and remote that with Splashtop on my iPad….
I’ve never found Splashtop to be particularly good in this environment. Too slow and too imprecise IMHO.
So what would be the remote software of your choice?

I don’t think any of them work well enough in a live sound environment. That’s why I use a Windows tablet instead of an iPad.
@Pit Lenz – Jump Desktop has been working great for us. Compatible with iPhones, iPads and Macs.
