Ken, the reset button is used to re-configure the device if you have problems. If it freezes up you can press the reset button, and it usually helps.

This can happen if you overload the device with too many files, or it’s possible that you have a virus. Try freeing up space by deleting excess files. If it doesn’t work, you’ll have to format the device. You can format by plugging it into your computer’s USB port. Click start and click on my computer. Right click on the device and click format.

You will need to format the device, which will wipe off any viruses. This will also wipe off any other data on the device. Plug the device into the USB port on your computer. Click start and then click on computer. Click on the drive letter for your device and click format.
